I started my blog to share my experiences with anxiety and the different methods that I have tried to manage it – some of which have been more successful than others!
Ever since I was a young child I have been plagued with anxiety, dwelling on the smallest things, worrying about anything and everything. I don’t think I even questioned it until much later in life, just accepting that’s who I was.

I first read the above quote in a book that a friend gave to me. It really resonated with me as I know I have wasted so much of it worrying about things that don’t end up happening, worrying about the ‘what ifs’.
I know that worrying is a wasted effort because it doesn’t change the outcome, but it’s something but I often dwell on the worst-case scenario, which I can’t let go.
I’m determined to change that though and I’m learning to be more mindful and grateful for the present moment and accepting that life will happen no matter what I do and that worrying won’t change it.
I gave up alcohol last year, partly due to the next anxiety that I experience. I am on a journey of sobriety and documenting a lot of things and feelings I am experiencing in the hope that by doing so it might help someone else who is going through the same thing.
